Advent Calendar 2025 – Day 24

Twenty-fourth day, and tonight… it’s Christmas Eve.
The long-awaited moment, when everything lights up, the air feels lighter, and every second seems a little magical.

This year, I decided to leave my little house behind and discover a place straight out of a fairytale: a huge castle transformed into a royal Christmas market. As soon as you walk in, you hear laughter, music, jingling bells and the crackling of wood fires. The stone walls are covered in golden garlands, the towers shine under the lights, and snow slowly blankets the rooftops like a soft cover.

In the courtyard, the stalls offer treats, hot chocolate, candles, toys and sparkling decorations. Children run between the stands, wrapped up in their scarves, while adults chat around the braziers. The whole scene is filled with an atmosphere that is both joyful and peaceful, as if suspended outside of time.

I stopped for a moment on the steps of the grand staircase, just to take it all in.
All these people gathered together, all those little lights dancing in the night…
That’s the magic of Christmas.
